What can I hunt in Tanzania?
Tanzania offers species found in few other places, including lesser kudu and gerenuk, alongside Cape buffalo, lion, leopard and a wide range of plains game.
Who manages hunting in Tanzania?
Hunting takes place in government-allocated hunting blocks managed by the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA). Licenses and permits are issued through that system, and we handle the paperwork for you.
What rifle do I need for Tanzania?
.375 is the legal minimum caliber for dangerous game in Tanzania. We recommend the .375 H&H Magnum, .450/400 Nitro Express, .470 Nitro Express or .500 Nitro Express.
How long does it take to get trophies home from Tanzania?
Plan on months, not weeks. Trophies go through dip-and-pack, export permits, shipping and U.S. Fish and Wildlife clearance before they reach your taxidermist.
